Hello and nice to meet you! Every couple of weeks I will write an article about something related to online poker. Today I will discuss Tiger Gaming, an online poker site on the Action Poker network. Note: this site is not open to American players.
Tiger Gaming features a clean looking site that is easy on the eyes. Similar to the PokerStars bonus code, the bonus is generous, and it is not too difficult to clear. You should find the customer support helpful during times of need. Tiger Gaming stands out because it offers a few special games that you won’t find in any other poker room. Such games include Chinese Poker (very addictive), Pan, Guts (my favorite), and Big 2 (a classic). You won’t find Internet slots here, but if you are a fan of any of these other games, this is the place to be.
In addition to the unique games mentioned, Tiger Gaming has Limit and No Limit Holdem, Limit and Pot-limit Omaha and, when the tables fill, 7 Card Stud.
Tiger Gaming has opted to focus their advertising in Canada, encouraging consumers to try online poker in commercials airing on TSN, Rogers Sportsnet and The Score. Presumably they considered Canada full of people interested in money poker sites. It makes sense that a lot of the players on this site are Canadian, then, and you’ll be happy to know that the bulk of them are quite bad at poker.
Traffic can be bad at times, especially if you play mid or high stakes. However, if you’ve just gotten into download free poker sites and you want to start small, finding a table at $2 NL up to $25 NL is usually very easy. It is common for there to be between three and six NL25 tables open and between four and eight NL5 tables. If you want to play 50NL, it’ll be a little bit trickier. You’ll be lucky to have two 50NL tables to choose from. Those looking for 100NL will be even more disappointed. It is a rare day when there is a 100NL table available. I have never seen the NL1000 table populated in my time at the site, so if you want stakes that high, you should download Full Tilt Poker.
I will just go ahead and tell you that the traffic for the other games is pretty awful. They offer Seven Card Stud tables but nobody, literally nobody, plays them. Omaha is almost as bad. Occasionally there is one table of Omaha running, and it’s usually Pot Limit with 20 cent blinds. If you prefer these games, you might need to download PokerStars instead. As for the exotic games, you’ll almost for sure find them running during peak hours. As Tiger is the only room you can find them, the traffic is reasonable. The classic gambling game of Guts often has two or three tables going, and the minimum bet is usually from 10 to 50 cents.
If you want to play low stakes on Tiger Gaming, the traffic and games are not bad. If you are just starting out with poker, you should first build a bankroll at Tiger and then go ahead and try a Bwin Poker download once you’re ready to move up in stakes.
